The author of a book on the life and extraordinary art of Citizen Potawatomi Nation member Woodrow Wilson ‘Woody’ Crumbo discusses that book on the latest edition of the CPN radio program “The Native American Speaks.”

Chickasaw Nation member Robert Perry of Ada, Oklahoma talks about his book “Uprising! Woody Crumbo’s Indian Art.” Mr. Perry talks about the influences that shaped the greatest Citizen Potawatomi artist’s work, the mix of native talent and mastery of technique that informed it, and the other areas of exploration and discovery in which Woodrow Wilson Crumbo was a pioneer. The CPN Cultural Heritage Center will host a book-signing for Robert Perry during Family Reunion Festival on Friday, June 25 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

“The Native American Speaks” airs on Sunday mornings on KGFF-AM (1450), the Shawnee, Oklahoma station the CPN owns, and on KOKC-AM (1520), an Oklahoma City-based 50,000-watt, clear channel station with a News/Talk format.
