Native American elders, ages 55 and older, are invited to attend a wellness fair April 24. The wellness fair is from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Festival Grounds South Reunion Hall.
Citizen Potawatomi Nation Health staff will be on hand to offer wellness checks, blood sugar checks and vital signs checks. More than 25 vendors will also be available to offer information and services to benefit the elder community.
“This is a great opportunity for elders to learn what services and social opportunities are available in Shawnee,” said Tami Fleeman, nursing coordinator, Senior Support Network. “We always have a lot of fun at these events and have plenty of information, door prizes and a great meal.”
The wellness fair is open to all Native American elders and their spouses. For more information please contact Tami at 405-273-5236 ext. 292.
