The Family Reunion Festival hosts several language and cultural classes for adults and children. In addition to having the opportunity to meet with extended Potawatomi family, festival guests can learn CPN language, discover beading or make a pair of moccasins just to name a few.
“We offer several classes during festival so that people who may only make it to Shawnee once a year can take part of our culture home with them,” said Kelli Mosteller, director, Cultural Heritage Center. “There are classes for adults and children and any skill level is welcome and encouraged to attend.”
Here is a list of classes to help you plan your time. Adult classes are best suited for adults and youth ages 14 and up. Children’s classes are best suited for youth less than 14 years old.
