The Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center remains closed after thousands of gallons of water flooded the building on March 31.
Construction crews began to remove the concrete slab from the Long Room at the Cultural Heritage Center this week so that the damage below the slab could be assessed. It will take crews approximately one week to remove the floor. Once the slab has been removed crews will begin to dry, re-grade and compact the slab. The water line will need to be exposed for inspection and possible removal. There is no timeline for all repairs to be complete.
FireLake Gifts and CPN Tribal Rolls are open at this time. The Cultural Heritage Center is currently closed to the public.
