The busiest time for Citizen Potawatomi Nation is the last weekend in the month of June. Families from all over come to the Citizen Potawatomi Nation for the event that brings the Potawatomi families together. With all the preparations and energy spent to make sure everything will be a smooth and enjoyable time, it’s always nice to fit in some relaxing activities to the hectic schedule. Hanging out by the pool, gazing upon the bald eagles at the Eagle aviary or spending some time in of the many art classes are a sure way to relax during Family Reunion Festival. Another way to kick back and enjoy time spent during the weekend long event would be to sign up for one of the golf tournaments at FireLake Golf Course.
Friday night of the festival weekend, golf course employees light up the greens with flood lights for a truly different golfing experience. Registration for the Night Golf Tournament Scramble begins at 7 p.m. and starts at 9 p.m. The Saturday morning golf scramble begins bright and early with registration at 7:30 a.m. and first tee time is at 8:30 a.m. Across the street from the golf course is FireLake Mini-Putt course and will be host to the mini-putt tournament on Sunday with registration at noon and first contestants starting at 1 p.m.
