From Trey’s background statement:
“Trey Lupton was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma in July of 1990. He descends from Mkto-Sum-Qua who signed the 1887 tribal rolls. Trey’s intention with his craft is to allow natural beauty and wonder of stones and metals to speak. He finds symmetry and order in the mineral kingdom inspire attempts to capture the light and ancient knowledge contained by the minerals. To deepen his connection with his craft Trey takes his son to gather materials from the natural world. By collecting direct from the source he is able to give thanks and pray while gathering materials. Covering the process from start to finish, he cuts and polishes the stones he finds before incorporating them into finished pieces.”
