CITIZEN POTAWATOMI NATION
PUBLIC HEARING
A Public Hearing is scheduled for 3-4:30 P.M., Thursday June 6, 2024, in the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Workforce & Social Services conference room, Workforce Drive, Shawnee, OK 74801. This is a Public Hearing regarding the Nation’s: Housing grant applications (IHBG & ICDBG).
- 2025 Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) to solicit comments on a funding application. The 2025 IHBG grant application to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development proposes construction of new housing units and housing services for the benefit of the tribal community. Attendants will be provided information concerning the amount of funds available for the proposed housing project and the range of activities that may be undertaken. Residents will be given an opportunity to submit comments on the Tribe’s performance under any active community grants.
- 2024 Indian Community Development Block Grant Program to solicit comments on a funding application in the amount of up to $2,000,000. The ICDBG application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development proposes a housing rehabilitation project for the benefit of the tribal community within CPN jurisdiction. Attendants will be furnished with an update on all open ICDBG projects, and information will be provided concerning the amount of funds available for the proposed community economic development project and the range of activities that may be undertaken. Residents will be given an opportunity to examine the Community Development Statement and submit comments on the Tribe’s performance under any active community grant. (24 CFR 1003.604).
IN ORDER THAT WE MAY CONTINUE TO ASSIST YOU WITH THESE PROGRAMS, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT PUBLIC INPUT BE INCLUDED WITH THE GRANT. PLEASE COME BY THE PUBLIC HEARING AND SIGN THE PUBLIC HEARING REGISTER. IF WE DO NOT GET ENOUGH SIGNATURES, WE MIGHT NOT HAVE FUNDS TO ASSIST YOU.
