Citizen Potawatomi Nation helped give back to the community during the holidays as employees hosted a variety of food drives and fundraisers.
CPN Tribal member and employee Nicole Sanchez received a surprise leading up to the holidays as she was named Citizen of the Year by the Tecumseh (Oklahoma) Chamber of Commerce.
Locally-brewed beer with innovative and unique flavors is now available at the Grand Resort & Casino through its new in-house brewery — Grand House Brewing. The new offerings include Chupacabra, a Mexican-style beer with bold flavors; Third Coast, a West-Coast citrusy IPA; and Highway 102, a light lager with a smooth finish.
Oklahoma residents utilizing the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program saw a decrease in the amount of money issued each month for groceries. CPN Workforce Development & Social Services’ Michelle Ramirez and FireLake Discount Foods director Richard Driskell share the impact on clients and options available to them.
Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s Grand Casino Hotel & Resort’s Security Training Department hosted a two-day Security Training Academy including a special presentation from CPN House of Hope’s Prevention Specialist Kayla Woody. “We discussed what signs to pay attention to with casino patrons and employees to better assist them with safety and security,” Woody said.
The Citizen Potawatomi Nation (Owner) intends to procure a qualified General Contractor to provide construction services for new three-story Hotel located in Shawnee, OK 74801 and for a new casino located in Shawnee, OK 74801.
The CPN Department of Environmental Protection oversees Underground Storage Tank compliance for the Tribe, keeping the Nation’s gas stations operating safely and protecting the environment, tribal sovereignty and the Tribe’s revenue stream.
The Citizen Potawatomi Nation supported local efforts to bring holiday cheer to Tribal members and others in the community. From toy drives to distributing food baskets, employees eagerly worked to share their giving spirit with others.
