In March 2020, CPN’s emergency declaration paved the way for the Tribe and FEMA Region 6’s teamwork. Six medical personnel from the FEMA region served on 60-day deployments to assist with CPN’s mass vaccination efforts.
In 2020, Shop with a Cop raised more than $13,500 with the help of 16 organizations, including Citizen Potawatomi Nation and many local nonprofits, businesses and entrepreneurs. The generous donations provided enough to give more than 130 participants money for gifts.
In each community served, FireLake partners with local nonprofits, youth programs and more, giving volunteer hours as well as supporting initiatives like Receipts for School and the coupon book program.
McLoud Public Schools’ students received a donation of 300 sets of headphones compatible with their Google Chromebooks from CPN’s FireLake Express Grocery.
